Craftsmanship
What happens between the sketch and your hand
Our workshop has occupied the same three rooms since 1918. The tools have barely changed; neither has the standard.

- 01
The Sketch
A piece is drawn at actual size, then again at four times scale. Proportion is settled on paper, never on screen.
- 02
Shaping the Gold
Ingots are poured, rolled and annealed until the metal accepts a curve without memory.
- 03
Stone Selection
Diamonds are viewed loose under north light. We reject roughly seven stones for every one we keep.
- 04
Setting
Claws are formed from the band itself rather than soldered on, so nothing can loosen at the joint.
- 05
Hand Polishing
Nine grades of abrasive, finishing on rouge-charged calico — around four hours per ring.
- 06
Inspection & Packaging
Ten times magnification, two inspectors, one struck signature. Then silk, lacquer and wax.
